PSPS Supporters aboard Waverley in 1978

Four PSPS members that sailed south on the Waverley for the first time in 1978

Waverley arrived in London for the first time on 28 April 1978
Waverley's fan board during her first trip south - note the destinations!

A special time for PSPS members was when Waverley started to make her visits away from the Firth of Clyde to other parts of the UK from 1977 onwards. Waverley found many friends at this time and truly united members of the Society and found a whole new generation of enthusiasts who enjoyed nothing more than a good day out on a paddle steamer viewing the coastline of the UK.

Four lucky PSPS members paid to sail with Waverley as she came south for the first time in 1978. They are (left to right) Peter Stocker, Basil Craggs, Margaret Russell and John Grant.
